Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disease (EGID) Clinic

As a tertiary medical center specialized in seeing children with complex eosinophilic gastrointestinal conditions, the appointments in the EGID Clinic are very thorough, with first appointments often lasting 2 to 3 hours. Procedures commonly performed in the clinic include allergy “skin testing” and spirometry. Some of the procedures arranged through the EGID Clinic include:

  • Endoscopy with biopsy
  • Interventional esophageal dilation
  • pH impedence studies
  • Esophageal motility testing
  • Transnasal esophagogastroduodenoscopy (TNE)
  • Esophageal String Test (EST)
