Phoenix Children’s has a robust research enterprise. This means our patients have access to leading therapies, novel diagnostics and clinical management options. By giving clinicians cutting-edge technologies, our Research Institute can lead the advancement of pediatric medicine to help patients and families in Arizona, the Southwest and around the country. Our research areas:

Barrow Neurological Institute Research

We are leaders in developing innovative research in both clinical and translational laboratory programs. We believe integrated research programs at the clinical, bedside and laboratory bench levels encourage a richer and facilitated approach to translating ideas into clinical care. Our research programs are specialized to key pediatrics areas within our Center of Excellence, such as neurosurgery, neurology, psychology, psychiatry, developmental pediatrics and rehabilitation.

Cancer Research

This is the largest pediatric program of its kind in Arizona. The Center sits on the front line of pediatric malignancy and hematologic disorder research. There are currently more than 70 clinical trials offered through the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders for patients with leukemias, lymphomas, solid tumors, brain tumors and rare diseases.

World-Class Care

Phoenix Children’s Hospital is Arizona’s only licensed children’s hospital, providing renowned inpatient, outpatient, trauma, emergency and urgent care to children and families throughout the Southwest. As one of the largest children’s hospitals in the country, Phoenix Children’s provides expert care across more than 75 pediatric specialties.
